QUALITY OF LIFE AT WORK AND THE EFFECTS OF TELEWORK DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: CONCEPTS, PERSPECTIVES AND CHALLENGES

摘要
The aim of this article is to present an overview of research into changes in quality of life at work due to teleworking during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to filter the papers from the Scopus database. On this basis, 39 articles were selected for full reading. There was a greater concentration of theoretical and empirical studies carried out in European countries. In terms of methodological characterisation, there was a predominance of quantitative studies, which most commonly used questionnaires as a data collection tool, most of which were aimed at employees. It was found that teleworking during the pandemic had both positive and negative effects on QWL, in most cases associated with performance and productivity. The negative effects of teleworking were highlighted as a result of the social isolation caused by the pandemic, increasing the frequency of stress and psychological disorders. These insights are useful for enhancing intervention actions by the strategic people management sector at the organisational level. This will support the development of policies to encourage the improvement or preservation of healthy working conditions.
