摘要
The article proposes an innovative approach in the field of Human-Data Interaction (HDI) applied to an interactive data visualization concerning an original taxonomy of upholstered products Made in Italy. Based on an in-depth analysis of the diversity of components, materials and production systems involved, the authors develop a complex taxonomy, culturally referable to a classification of standards regulations, in order to effectively manage the data related to the complex reference supply chain. Following this classification, the need to overcome the limitations of the traditional static visualization of information through a form that reveals patterns and relationships that are not known or easily deduced from the data is highlighted The main objective is to develop an interactive and implementable data visualization system that facilitates the understanding and management of the complexity of information, merging methods and tools from the field of Human-Data Interaction with those of industrial product design. In particular, the design of the second phase of the human-data interaction of the interactive infographic is reported, i.e. the relations chosen for the efficient and needs-based communication of information by users.
