Juvenile femoral head ischemia is known as Legg-Calve-Perthes disease or Perthes disease. After the disease has healed in childhood, long-term secondary damage can manifest itself in early adulthood. Patients return to orthopaedic care due to functional limitations of the hip joints and joint pain.
