摘要
This study aims to investigate the effects of perceived overqualification on creative performance. Based on self-determination theory, it examines the mediating role of harmonious passion and the moderating role of organizational identification. Using two-wave survey data from 224 employees in Chinese local organizations, we tested the hypotheses with SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0. The results indicate that perceived overqualification negatively affects creative performance, with harmonious passion mediating this relationship. Additionally, organizational identification buffers the effect of perceived overqualification on harmonious passion and the indirect effects on creative performance via harmonious passion. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
