摘要
Recent research highlights the adverse effects of work-to-leisure conflict (WTLC) on well-being. However, the results of previous studies on the mechanism (how) and the context (when) of WTLC's impact on well-being are ambiguous. Drawing from the literature, this study examined the recovery mechanisms through which WTLC affects well-being and considered the moderating effect of future focus on this process. In a three-wave, cross-lagged study, 296 respondents from three Chinese Internet companies participated in and finished empirical testing, providing support to our moderated-mediation model of recovery experiences. Using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and hierarchical regression, the study found an association between WTLC and well-being through recovery experiences, and future focus attenuated the indirect effect. A discussion of the implications for theory and practice concludes the article.
