摘要
The study aims to improve the self-repairing performance of magnesium silicate hydroxide (MSH)-containing oil. The self-repair behavior of the MSH-containing oil on different wetting surfaces under limited and fully-flooded oil supply is observed using an optical interference test rig. The results indicate that MSH nanoparticles neither prevent nor accelerate starvation. However, controlled by surface tension, oleophobic surfaces facilitate the MSH aggregation in oil and promote its redistribution in the lubricant, thereby enhancing the self-repair efficiency of MSH. This study expands the understanding of the self-repair behavior of MSH on surfaces with different wetting properties and provides important references for the design and application of novel bearing.
