摘要：

The Island of Mauritius depends heavily on imported fossil fuels with the domestic sector representing the largest share in terms of electricity sales. The main aim of this research relates to Energy Management, including supply and demand side analysis of the needs in terms of energy in households in the context of a small-island developing state. In this paper, integration of gender issues in the Energy Management of households is analysed through surveys conducted in the Republic of Mauritius (Mauritius Island and Rodrigues Island).
