摘要
There is growing scholarship of higher education programs interrogating Black women doctoral students' experiences. Using a collective Black feminist autoethnographic approach, we expand previous scholarship to describe how we survived our doctoral programs and challenged dominant norms within academia. Explicitly, our work provides a possibility model for how Black women doctoral students can thrive at predominantly White institutions despite experiencing structural barriers such as gendered racial microaggressions. To conclude, we provide recommendations for systemic and institutional changes at predominantly White institutions and higher education programs to create possible pathways that assist Black women doctoral students in thriving.
