摘要
Natural gas still plays an important role in energy generation in Romania. The paper analyzes, starting from statistical data related to the operational year 2022, through successive averaging, the effective daily power of electricity production from natural gas. All natural gas-fired thermoelectric plants were considered: steam turbines (ST), gas turbines (GT), gas-steam combined cycles (CCGT) and internal combustion engines (ICE), as well as the share of natural gas as fuel support in coal-based electricity production. It was thus possible to estimate the annual consumption of natural gas, from which the average annual carbon dioxide emission resulted. This result was compared with the declared values.
