Ilumina: Project-based learning in professional and technological education

摘要
This work addresses the project of dimmable luminaires developed by students finishing a technician course in electronics, also known as Project Ilumina. Using a project-based learning methodology, students are challenged to transform their proposals into manually fabricated devices that can be used safely, according to the following steps: product development with safety and aesthetic criteria and requirements; electronic circuit design, simulation and prototyping; cost assessment, assembly and performance testing; final report and presentation of results at the end of the academic year, during a Technical Project Exhibition.
