摘要
A miniaturized dual-band dipole array based on inductors-loaded elements is proposed in this letter. Through the incorporation of inductor loading, a dual-band dual-mode (DBDM) dipole achieves both miniaturization and stable radiation with the employment of N-port characteristic mode analysis (N-port CMA). Then, a miniaturization DBDM dipole array, comprising four dipoles loaded with inductors, is introduced. The N-port CMA is also employed to ensure uniformly spaced resonant points in each loaded dipole. To verify the performance, the proposed antenna is fabricated and measured. The size of the proposed antenna is 0.25 lambda(L) x 0.31 lambda(L) x 0.0017 lambda(L), where lambda(L) represents the wavelength at the lowest frequency. In the low band, ranging from 620 to 810 MHz, the measured realized gain of the proposed antenna varies from 0 to 2.4 dBi. In the upper band, covering from 1.62 to 2.4 GHz, the measured realized gain of the proposed antenna varies from 1.5 to 4.5 dBi. The measured results indicate that a miniaturization dual-band dipole array, designed with the proposed method, is suitable for UHF applications.
