摘要：

The general objective of the study was to identify how the management of waste generated in Basic Health Units (UBS) in the city of Augustin & oacute;polis - TO occurs, from the perspective of health professionals. Field research was carried out in all UBS in the municipality, with data collection through interviews and on-site visits. The results indicate that 73% of professionals did not receive training on the proper management of solid waste; only 35% classified the management of Waste from Health Services (WHS) in the UBS as good or excellent; and there was a lack of adequate equipment and materials for the separation, collection and storage of waste. Thus, it is concluded that the management of waste generated in the UBS of Augustin & oacute;polis occurs in disagreement with regulatory standards
