摘要
In the current study, the one-way coupling method has been utilized to make a connection between the hydrodynamic and the structural analysis of a wedge-water entry problem. Finite Volume approach and Finite Element Method are used for fluid and structure simulations respectively. The RANS equations are considered the main equations of the fluid phase and the Volume of Fluid scheme has been used to take into account the free surface effect using OpenFOAM. Comparing the results in both structural and fluid sections shows that they are quite satisfactory. Determining elastic responses makes it possible to obtain the rate of deformation of elastic wedges in different directions. Finally, a detailed study of the error due to the one-way coupling method has been performed. For this purpose, some variables such as wetting time and the present results are compared with two-way or complete coupling methods data.
