摘要
Nanobiomimetic structures are currently emerging as a technology with considerable potential in the field of drug delivery systems. These structures, which take inspiration from nature, hold the potential to completely transform the treatment of diseases by facilitating drug delivery that is highly precise and target-oriented. In this comprehensive review, we place significant emphasis on examining the distinctive physicochemical properties possessed by nanobiomimetic structures, including but not limited to their hydrophilicity, particle shape, surface charge, composition, and concentration, all of which collectively contribute to their overall functionality. Additionally, we undertake a thorough exploration of the utilization of specific ligands that are strategically placed on the surface of these carriers, effectively enhancing their specificity towards target cells. Furthermore, we engage in a discussion surrounding innovative strategies that have been devised to improve the drug loading capacity, cellular uptake, and sustained release of drugs in target cells, all accomplished through the utilization of nanobiomimetic carriers. Furthermore, we seize the opportunity to explore the methods by which biomimetic approaches can effectively enhance drug efficiency and targeting, ultimately leading to a significant enhancement in the effectiveness of drugs within targeted drug delivery systems. Finally, we must highlight that this study serves to underscore the immense potential that nanobiomimetic drug carriers possess in terms of completely transforming the landscape of drug delivery.
