摘要
From 1970 to 1973, the movie Gera & ccedil;& atilde;o bendita was made in partnership with a hippie community in Nova Friburgo (Rio de Janeiro). Produced independently, the feature film celebrated the libertarian values of countercultural life. Due to its content, the movie suffered numerous persecutions. The authoritarian apparatus of the Brazilian dictatorship (based on anti -communism) banned the film from public exhibition. By researching historical documents, this study retrieves the trajectory of an artistic work that remained marginalized for decades. This study, considering the structural dimensions of the dictatorial regime, provides insight into the characteristics of the repressive system in Brazil during the 1970s.
