Nietzsche and Odysseus: The genealogical approach in Dialectic of Enlightenment.

The references to Odysseus in Dialectic of Enlightenment have long led to its main argument being interpreted in terms of a negative philosophy of history. Several studies in recent decades have discussed this reception, dominant due to the major influence of Habermas's reading, highlighting the importance of paying attention to the presence of Benjamin's and Marx's ideas and concepts in the structure and background of the references to Odysseus. This article adds to that discussion by including a reassessment of Nietzsche's influence considering Foucault's interpretation of the genealogical method.
