This article explores social intervention as a key factor in alleviating economic inequalities in rural communities in Eastern Andalusia. It analyzes power dynamics, considering the paradigm shift resulting from economic globalization since the nineties, where despite the overcoming of traditional boundaries, rural areas have faced economic and social challenges. The methodology employed is based on qualitative instruments, primarily emphasizing ethnographic observation and fieldwork conducted in the studied contexts. The obtained results reflect on proposals for community participation in the analyzed scenario, emphasizing participation as an essential element in addressing processes of social integration, and are relevant for the professional practice of social action. Among the conclusions drawn is the necessity to address the barriers inherent to rurality and immigration in social intervention, promoting community participation and the construction of inclusive environments, the importance of designing social policies that consider the cultural and social particularities of rural areas, fostering a sustainable, equitable, and gender perspective, as well as providing optimal resources for social intervention without falling into precarization.
