REGIONAL AND LOCAL HISTORICAL STUDIES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN VOCATIONAL TRAINING

The studies carried out demonstrate the potential and shortcomings in the development of capabilities in this sense. The work is part of the project Professional training for educational and sociocultural actors and agencies in regional and local historical studies for sustainable development in the central region of Cuba. The actions are carried out from an innovative, interdisciplinary and professional approach that allows the analysis of the natural, social and historical reality in relation to good practices of employment, conservation and protection of heritage resources for the enhancement. Links are produced between the results of regional and local historical studies with local development, based on the interrelation between university and society. It includes the development of social innovation products resulting from the theoretical, methodological, didactic and practical contributions on regional and local historical studies produced by the Department of History of the University of Cienfuegos that favor management in the sustainable development of localities and communities of the central region of Cuba.
