摘要
Cuba is increasingly promoting innovation and productive chains as paths to development. In this context, the health sector is a prioritized area. Objective: To describe the experience of developing productive chains supporting the creation of biomedical innovation projects. Methodology: As part of a case study, theoretical and empirical methods were used to identify lines of research in the medical university with potential for chain value, to assess limitations in the design of this type of project to review the literature and analyze methodological proposals related to the topic, structuring a methodological guide, and describing the design of two biomedical research. Key Findings: The focus on productive chains allowed the integration of productive actors and scientific entities to generate products of greater value, resulting from biomedical research. Conclusions: The experience shows benefits to the development of scientific, productive, and technological capabilities of the local health system by means of university-business relationships.
