摘要
In its quest to promote the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms for consumer disputes in the field, the European Union has spent more than three decades building a regulatory framework adapted to its requirements, which peaked with the publication of Directive 2013/11/EU and Regulation (EU) 525/2013, although it has not ceased to develop since then. Ten years after their publication, the European legislator has taken up the important task of amending these significant instruments in order to adapt them to the current situation of the digital market, as well as to respond to the challenges posed by the increasingly common cross-border nature of consumer disputes that arise in this medium.
