Falsuszafronayucatecana (Gastropoda: Columbellidae), a new species from the southwestern Gulf of Mexico

Falsuszafrona yucatecana a new species from relatively deep water in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico, has an elongate- fusiform shell with a multispiral protoconch, is pale yellowish- tan in coloration with a network of lighter, ocellated markings, has uneven axial and spiral sculpture and an inner labrum without denticles. It is described and compared with other Falsuszafrona from the western Atlantic.
