摘要
This article presents the findings of a qualitative study aimed at identifying the challenges and opportunities and exploring the experiences of Venezuelan migrants in Colombia and the responses of host communities. Using a methodological design from an interpretative paradigm, data were collected through document analysis, in-depth interviews, focus groups, and participant observation. Data analysis was conducted using the grounded theory approach, identifying patterns, categories, and emerging themes. The results highlight the importance of the Special Stay Permit (PEP) as a governmental measure to regularize the migration status of Venezuelans. Additionally, the crucial role of civil society in providing humanitarian aid and support services is emphasized. In conclusion, the study reveals the need for collaboration between the government and civil society to address the Venezuelan migration crisis in Colombia, underscoring the importance of more effective and humane policies and practices for the integration of migrants.
