Dual-Band Vivaldi MIMO Antennas Designed for Sub-6 GHz 5G Wireless Applications

摘要
In this paper, a dual-band multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna system was designed for Sub-6 GHz 5G wireless applications using a Vivaldi shape. The proposed antenna consists of two Vivaldi elements designed to operate in the 3.3-3.8 GHz and 4.8-5.0 GHz frequency bands, which are allocated for 5G communications. The antenna is designed on an FR4 substrate with a compact size of 120 mm 120 mm. The antenna elements are optimized to achieve good impedance matching, high gain, and low mutual coupling within the desired frequency bands. The simulated and measured results demonstrate that the proposed antenna exhibits a reflection coefficient below -10 dB, mutual coupling less than -25 dB, realized gain greater than 6.13 dBi, and envelope correlation coefficient below 0.01 in the operating bands, indicating its suitability for MIMO applications. The experimental measurements show a satisfactory agreement with the simulation results.
