摘要
This article aims to describe and analyze the discursive performance of a group of leaders and ministries that composed the recently extinct interdenominational organization Exodus Brazil, whose work was traditionally justified by the supposed objective of bringing emotional relief to christian people in conflict with homosexuality, through religious conversion. Based on digital monitoring and discursive analysis of theological and political postures, in the context of Jair Bolsonaro government (2019-2022), it aims to analyze the representations about homosexuality constructed on the digital networks Facebook and Instagram, in order to prove the hypothesis that they constitute expressions of religious homophobia, whose social visibility was favored by the broader context of political conservatism experienced by the country in recent years. Under this emphasis, the results achieved add theoretical and empirical elements to the discussion on the exchanges between religion and politics in Brazil, led by new actors and their operating strategies.
