摘要
Prosocial behaviors are characterized by being driven by the search for the well-being of others. Particularly, adolescence represents a key moment to incorporate actions that favor bonding, which makes the assessment and intervention of helping behaviors pertinent. Given the above, the objective of this work was to confirm the factorial structure of the Prosocial Behavior Scale (Balabanian & Lemos, 2018), propose a brief version, analyze the invariance according to sex, and study external validity indicators. The sample consisted of 612 adolescents (M age=15.47; DE=1.52). The results indicated that the short version of the scale, comprising 13 invariance of the measurement according to sex was confirmed and significant differences were found between men and women in favor of these. Lastly, the results of the concurrent validity analyzes allowed adding evidence of external validity to the Brief Prosocial Behavior scale.
