摘要：
This article examines the practical implementation of the new French offence of "sexist affront" (" outrage sexiste ") which was introduced to combat "street harassment". It relies on interviews, observations and document analyses with various police forces responsible for enforcing the offence, between 2018 and 2020., The article highlights the limited enforcement of the offence. This can be explained by ideological matters, the framing of the public problem and the representations of police officers, but also and above all by the professional rationales of these police forces, combined with the modalities of this offence.
