摘要
The painted stage curtains are objects of use of the Italian theater, and emerge as a practical closing alternative between scenes in the mid-19th century in Europe. Due to the expiration of their function, they suffered different destinations, leaving in the background the undeniable aesthetics that they confer to the rooms that house them. From the point of view of building conservation, this container is valued together with its content, its ornaments and decorations, since all of it constitutes a historical document that demands the authenticity and originality of the materials that make it up. Knowledge of these materials is essential for conservation interventions to facilitate the appreciation, understanding and use of objects that are in poor condition of conservation and have lost their meaning or function. The studies presented here correspond to the identification of the constituent materials of three painted curtains from the Rio de La Plata coast of Argentine, El Circulo, Rafael de Aguiar and 3 de Febrero, and another one that belongs to the Libertador General San Martin theater in C & oacute;rdoba.
