Data protection in sanctioning administrative law

: This article aims, through a systematized and non -exhaustive exposition of the literature and legislation, to analyze the historical evolution of the right to data protection and its treatment within the scope of national and foreign Sanctioning Administrative Law. Thus, the present study was organized into four axes: the historical and sociological context of the role of information in contemporary society, the importance of studying Comparative Law in the context of data protection, the implementation and performance of the Autoridade Nacional de Prote & ccedil;& atilde;o de Dados - ANPD and the adoption of the responsive regulation model by the Lei Geral de Prote & ccedil;& atilde;o de Dados - LGPD. It was found that, in general, the right of data protection in Brazil is very young and, as a result, it seeks maturity and improvement in foreign legal systems, especially in the Member States of the European Union. The research methodology is qualitative, bibliographic and documentary. The research is descriptive and exploratory, aiming to develop ideas from information on the topic.
