The author introduces the review of Susan M. Denisco's (2024) 5th edition of Advanced Practice Nursing: Essential Knowledge for the Profession. The evolving changes in nursing education for advanced practice nursing re-affirm the importance of theory-based nursing knowledge that offers distinctive disciplinary perspectives and serves as the foundation of nursing research and practice as well.
