摘要
Serratia marcescens is a Gram-negative bacillus belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family . Skin infections caused by S. marcescens are sporadic and are usually found in immunocompromised adults. Kerion is an inflammatory subtype of tinea capitis. In this case, we reported a 5 -year -old child diagnosed with tinea capitis caused by Microsporum audouinii, which gave a clinical picture of a kerion type with abscesses and crusts. A pus culture examination found colonies of S. marcescens . Tinea capitis with S. marcescens secondary infection, and kerion appearance yields satisfactory therapeutic results.
