摘要
The article discusses the problems of translating multilingual texts on the basis of Shakespeare's tragedy Hamlet (1828) from Grigory Stroganoff's book collection. The authors focus on role of this edition in the formation of translation strategies and critical reception of Hamlet in German and French literature of the late 18th - first third of the 19th centuries. The engravings of the German artist Moritz Retzsch for this edition and the creation of visual "Hamlet" text are analyzed in terms of intermedial poetics. The authors emphasize Shakespeare's influence on the formation of Shakespearean studies in Germany and France and analyze the processes of intensive "Shakespeareization" in Western European painting and theatrical art. The personality of Stroganoff is perceived as a type of a "Russian European." The awareness of one's "hybrid identity" becomes the sociocultural basis for the formation of a multilingual and multicultural personality in Russian and Western European culture in the first half of the 19th century.
