摘要
The subject of this paper is the presentation of the results of research whose primary goal was to examine and determine to what extent intercultural communicative competence (in the following text IKK) was developed among students of the final grade of elementary school in the territory of the municipality of Budva. This research builds on the previous, more extensive research that was conducted in 2016 for the purposes of preparing a doctoral dissertation and was conducted on a larger sample of respondents and in a larger number of schools on the Montenegrin coast. In it, the concept of interculturality was examined in a wider scope, and in particular the acquisition and development of IKK students in Italian language classes by comparing the attitudes of students and their teachers. This time we focused only on students, but in addition to those who learn Italian, we also included students who learn German and French as a second foreign language in elementary school, in addition to English, which is everyone's first foreign language since the first grade. Due to the influx of a large number of foreigners to the Montenegrin coast (especially from Turkey, Ukraine and Russia) in the last two years, the number of students from these countries has also increased significantly, which has led to a change in the profile of students and the composition of classes in schools. Therefore, we especially wanted to find out how, in this new context, students, both native and foreign, enter into mutual intercultural contacts and develop their social skills, especially the skills of connection, discovery, interaction and cooperation, and whether they improve their intercultural knowledge and attitudes.
