摘要
Arginine is the essential amino acid having potential therapeutic value. The amino acid can be extracted from different natural resources. But they are not feasible due to efficient separation techniques. This research work aims to separate and purification of arginine from cottonseed deoiled cake. In this process, ion-exchange chromatographic was used effectively to isolate the amino acid. Various parameters such as pH, time, and concentration were optimized to achieve the extract of the amino acid. The experimental work was also carried out in the continuous column chromatography method. In chromatography separation length of column, diameter, and the flow rate was studied with different buffer eluents solution. The results show that 99% of amino acids can be extracted by ion-exchange methodology. As a final point, the adsorption of the amino acid model has been verified.
