摘要
Biochar is charcoal that is produced by pyrolysis of biomass in the absence of oxygen. Biochar can sequester atmospheric CO2, and by doing so, contribute to goal of reducing global climate change. Poultry litter biochar is the black solid remaining after the pyrolysis of poultry litter. In this study, two PL biochar samples are prepared at different temperatures. A few key properties of the biochars such as pH, BET surface area were measured. After that, they were being used as adsorbent for removal of Pb2+ from aqueous solutions. How the biochar property affects the final adsorption capacity was studied. The produce biochar has good nutrient level and high capability in the adsorption of Pb2+. It is recommended as soil amendment.
