摘要
Global warming, driven by carbon emissions and dwindling fossil fuel reserves, is a growing concern worldwide. To address this issue, strategies such as transitioning to electric vehicles (EVs) and electric stoves (ESs) are being implemented. These changes are part of Indonesia's efforts to reduce carbon emissions and decrease reliance on imported fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). However, the surge in EVs and ESs usage poses challenges to distribution networks. This research aims to understand the impact of EVs and ESs loads on distribution network capacity requirements. This research is supported by empirical data collected through a general survey conducted in different regions of Indonesia. Based on the survey results, the impact of EVs and ESs on the increased load shedding occurrences is analysed. The outcomes reveal that several cases exhibit no load shedding, while some cases experience load shedding scattered across them, with a total amount of 21% indicating that the transformer capacity is exceeded. The potential solution to mitigate this problem is explained in this paper.
