摘要
In 2020, death rates soared as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 entered the globe. In early 2021, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines became available to the public with a goal vaccination rate of 70%. However, because of vaccine hesitancy and resistance, this goal was not met. Text message medical reminders have been studied for many years and have been found to be a simple, low-cost, effective way to improve vaccination rates. The COVID-19 vaccination rate for adults at a family practice was 21%. Using the evidence-based practice of text message medical reminders, this quality improvement project increased COVID-19 vaccination rates at the family practice by 3.5%. (c) 2024 Elsevier Inc.
