摘要
The brush-slip ring in radar systems plays a role in transmitting signals and power, and its sliding electrical contact performance greatly affects the reliability of the system. In order to increase the actual contact area of the brush-slip ring interface, a process of extending the running-in time was adopted. However, due to the wear of the brush, amount of debris formed an oxide film, resulting in an increase in the sliding contact resistance of the brush-slip ring, which caused contact welding and even ablation during use. In this paper, an improved running-in process for the brush-slip ring is proposed. By simulating the sliding of the brush-slip ring in actual use, the electrical contact performance and the wear degree of the brush-slip ring is studied after the improved running-in process. Taking the degradation model of sliding contact resistance as a state space equation, the particle filter method is used to predict the trend of the contact resistance and the remaining life of brush-slip ring in actual use after two kinds of running-in processes respectively, and the effectiveness of the new running-in process is verified.
