摘要
For a Net Zero Energy Building (NZEB), optimizing envelope load plays a vital role as it consequently contributes to performing energy consumption estimations of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. In this paper, a thorough study has been done to comprehend the different thermal properties such as thermal transmittance and thermal mass to compare their weightage in contributing to the building envelope load by taking advantage of high outdoor diurnal temperature variations in a hot & dry climate region. Further, the study delves into theoretical research within building construction, examining various parameters such as material types and wall thicknesses. The study results unveil the influence of diverse building material thermal properties and their configurations as an envelope on the thermal mass performance.
