摘要
The European Universities Initiative (EUI) was established in 2017 to strengthen strategic partnerships across the EU between higher education (HE) institutions by building networks of universities. In 2022, there were already 41 European University Alliances (EUA) gathering 340 institutions. The majority of libraries, members of those alliances, participate for the first time in international projects that have specific requirements and workflows driven by grant agreement requirements. The paper presents an in-depth analysis of the skills and competencies rooted in information literacy needed for successful project management. The analysis resulted in a map of competencies needed to work on international projects funded by the EU. The analysis showed that the skills traditionally associated with LIS jobs are crucial while working on EU-funded projects. The map of competencies may be useful not only for the staff of EUI but also for the library management and other LIS professionals who wish to become members of project teams.
