Analysis of the subject an the individual in the work of Jacques Lacan and Alain Badiou for a possible theoretical compatibility.

The present work makes a brief schematization of the concepts of the subject and the individual in the theory of Jacques Lacan and Alain Badiou in order to propose a theoretical compatibility of both in a philosophical way. This compatibility reviews the concept of desire in psychoanalysis, as well as the effort of Lacan to contrast the concept of subject as originated from the One of the signifier against the Badiousean subject that is founded as a singularity in the advent of any individual. That is why the following work also carries out an inspection of the subject as particular/general in the work of Lacan and the subject as singular/universal in the work of Badiou, with their respective repercussions on what is understood by the individual.
