摘要
A numerical investigation of bulletproof performance of layered plates is presented in this paper. The effect on the damage of the various composition among the magnesium and aluminum alloys of the layered plate against the ogive projectile is investigated. The Johnson-Cook constitutive material are applied in ABAQUS/explicit. Prior to the main analysis, a benchmark study is conducted which taken the published ballistic experiment for the verification and validation of the numerical method. The residual velocity of the projectile and the deformation pattern are compared from the experiment and present numerical results. The main analysis revealed that the layer combination of 1100-H12 aluminum, ZK61m magnesium alloy and 6061-T651 aluminum alloy obtained the highest optimal energy absorption when receiving the projectile impact.
