摘要
Improving the health of older adults is a crucial response to population aging. Based on the China Family Panel Studies data, this study analyzes the relationship between the children's socioeconomic status and their parents' health. The results indicate that the socioeconomic status of adult children positively affected the health status of their parents. The results also suggest that there is a positive correlation between the socioeconomic status of adult children and the economic support provided to their older parents, as well as their parents' health literacy, which in turn improves the overall health status of the older population. To address the challenges of population aging, improved intergenerational interaction between adult children and their aging parents can improve the health status of older adults.
