摘要
This paper aims to analyze the relationship between quality management, knowledge management, and innovative performance, and their impact on organizational performance in an emerging country. A sample of 349 Ecuadorian companies was surveyed between March and August 2017. Structural equation modeling was used for testing the theoretical hypothesis. Our study is one of the first attempts to explore the role of quality management for improving knowledge creation and innovation performance in emerging countries. Specifically, our results show which quality management practices are the most efficient for enhancing knowledge creation and innovation performance in an emerging country like Ecuador. El presente estudio analiza la relaci & oacute;n entre la gesti & oacute;n de la calidad, gesti & oacute;n del conocimiento, desempe & ntilde;o innovador y el impacto de dichos par & aacute;metros sobre el desempe & ntilde;o organizacional en un pa & iacute;s emergente. Analizamos una muestra de 349 empresas ecuatorianas colectada entre Marzo y Agosto de 2017. Las hip & oacute;tesis fueron verificadas utilizando la t & eacute;cnica de modelamiento de ecuaciones estructurales. Nuestro estudio constituye uno de los primeros esfuerzos realizados para explorar el papel de gesti & oacute;n de la calidad para mejorar la creaci & oacute;n de conocimiento y el desempe & ntilde;o innovador en firmas localizadas en pa & iacute;ses emergentes. Espec & iacute;ficamente, nuestros resultados muestran cu & aacute;les pr & aacute;cticas de gesti & oacute;n de calidad son m & aacute;s eficientes para mejorar la creaci & oacute;n de conocimiento y desempe & ntilde;o innovador en empresas que operan en un pa & iacute;s emergente como Ecuador. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar a rela & ccedil;& atilde;o entre gest & atilde;o de qualidade, gest & atilde;o de conhecimento e desempenho inovador, assim como o impacto desses par & acirc;metros no desempenho organizacional num pa & iacute;s emergente. Fizemos o levantamento de uma amostra de 349 empresas equatorianas entre mar & ccedil;o e agosto de 2017. Usamos modelagem de equa & ccedil;& otilde;es estruturais para testar a hip & oacute;tese te & oacute;rica. O nosso estudo & eacute; um dos primeiros esfor & ccedil;os na pesquisa do papel da gest & atilde;o de qualidade para o aprimoramento da cria & ccedil;& atilde;o de conhecimento e do desempenho inovador em pa & iacute;ses emergentes. Os resultados mostram especificamente as pr & aacute;ticas de gest & atilde;o de qualidade mais eficientes para o aperfei & ccedil;oamento da cria & ccedil;& atilde;o de conhecimento e do desempenho da inova & ccedil;& atilde;o em um pa & iacute;s emergente: Equador.
