摘要
This study aimed to investigate the effect of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) on lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (LEDVT) in elderly patients with severe pneumonia. Eighty elderly patients with severe pneumonia in the respiratory intensive care unit of the hospital were enrolled and randomly divided into an experimental group (LMWH + conventional treatment, n = 40) and a control group (conventional treatment, n = 40). Coagulation, blood gas analysis and routine blood analyses were compared between the two groups. The prothrombin time (PT), international normalised ratio (INR), fibrinogen (FIB) and Ddimer (D -D) of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the controls at 5 and 7 days post -intervention (p < 0.05). White blood cells (WBC) and neutrophils were significantly lower in the experimental group than in the controls at 5 and 7 days (p < 0.05). There was no apparent difference in the BFV of the left and right femoral veins between the experimental group and the controls at 1 and 3 days post -intervention (p > 0.05), but that of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the controls at 5 and 7 days post -intervention (p < 0.05). The results suggest that LMWH can effectively improve coagulation function in patients with severe pneumonia complicated by LEDVT, improve patients' lower extremity venous BFV, inhibit patients' inflammatory response and reduce the risk of LEDVT based on conventional treatment.
