In recent decades, international commercial transactions have led to a significant increase in the circulation of commercial documents, thereby creating a new focal point for translation. This paper focuses on the study of documents related to payment and collection methods, a textual typology that has received limited investigation thus far and is characterised by a hybrid discursive modality blending legal and commercial aspects. Our aim is to standardize this subgenre of commercial translation by characterizing these documents. To this end, we have compiled a corpus of documents originally written in Spanish, which will be subject to analysis to achieve the stated objectives. This endeavour is intended to serve as a documentary and systematic foundation for translators, as well as a didactic model.
