摘要
The contemporary business landscape is marked by widespread green innovation adoption and environmental concerns. The authors propose a holistic framework that integrates corporate green innovation and sustainable development reflecting corporate sustainable growth rate, and corporate environmental performance reflecting non -financial sustainability. Moreover, they consider the moderating influence of corporate governance practices, creating an inclusive perspective within the broader context of sustainability. To shed light on objectives, this article analyzes 1,403 A -share listed Chinese firms, spanning the years from 2017 to 2022. Dynamic panel two -stage generalized method of moments indicates that green innovation has a positive effect on firms' sustainable development, and this effect is significantly moderated by governance practices. These results highlight the enduring viability of green innovation, as it substantially reinforces firms' prospects for development and enhanced environmental performance. Importantly, the findings withstand examination across diverse econometric model specifications and variable considerations, thereby supplying useful guidance for policymakers and business leaders.
