摘要
- Standardized test Saber 11 is important for getting into universities in Colombia because it is that assesses students' knowledge and skills in areas such as math, critical reading, natural sciences, social sciences, and English. The results of this test are often a requirement for the admissions process at many universities, as it provides institutions with an objective measure of the academic level of applicants. In this article, we present the analysis of the results of the Saber 11 test conducted in November 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this study is to find the relationship between global scores in Saber 11 and socioeconomic variables and school characteristics. Based on a descriptive and multivariate statistical analysis, the results of the Saber 11 tests for the years 2016 - 2022 were analyzed in the socioeconomic contexts of the population under study. The results reflect the educational inequality in Colombia, providing the relevant socioeconomic variables of the students and characteristics of the schools and their importance in the result of the Saber 11 exam. The findings of this study focus on the implementation of public policies that address solutions to the inequality of opportunities in secondary and basic education in Colombia.
