Cultural geography and gerontology: place revival

The objective of the research has been, firstly, the recognition of the importance of the environment as a guarantor of quality of life for the elderly. Secondly, it has also shown how the rich spatial legacy lived can be a source of anxiety and frustration in the elderly when they have to adapt to a process of increasing physical and psychological limitations, to the detriment of the quality of life. Finally, it has been verified how the lesson of the management of the space lived by the elderly (in their life stories) brings a new perspective on space in a more integrated way.
