Ariel Waisman is a CONICET Junior Researcher in the Laboratory of Applied Research in Neurosciences at FLENI in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ariel's group studies gene regulatory networks in human pluripotent stem cells to address mechanisms of development and cardiac differentiation, among other topics. We spoke to Ariel over Teams to learn more about his career path, the research interests in his group, and the challenges faced by researchers in Argentina and the Global South. © 2024.
