Influence of austempering temperatures on microstructure and wear performance of solution strengthened ferritic ductile cast irons

摘要
The object of this study was to analyze the effect of diverse austempering temperature on microstructure of solution strengthened ferritic ductile cast irons. Austempering was carried out at 300, 500, 550 and 600 degrees C for period of 3 h followed by air-cooling. Samples were examined by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction. The adhesive wear experiment of the samples was done in dry sliding conditions. The worn surface of the sample was examined by SEM. The dimensions and proportions of the ausferrite and bainitic phases in the matrix changed with the austempering temperature. The nodules exhibited very good dispersion behavior in the solution strengthened ferritic ductile iron matrix. The transformation of acicular ferrite showed a significant bainite characteristic. The rate of wear increased with the increasing austempering temperature. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es, den Einfluss verschiedener Bainitisierungstemperaturen auf die Mikrostruktur von mischkristallverfestigtem ferritischem Gusseisen mit Kugelgraphit zu untersuchen. Das Bainitisieren bzw. die isothermische Umwandlung in der Bainitstufe als W & auml;rmebehandlungsverfahren erfolgte 3 h lang bei 300, 500, 550 und 600 degrees C mit anschlie ss ender Luftabk & uuml;hlung. Die Proben wurden mittels Rasterelektronenmikroskopie (REM) und R & ouml;ntgenbeugung untersucht. Untersuchungen zum Verhalten der Proben bei Gleitverschlei ss erfolgte bei Trockenlauf. Anschlie ss end wurden die Verschlei ss fl & auml;chen der Proben im REM untersucht. Die Gr & ouml;ss e und Anteile der Phasen Ausferrit und Bainit in der Matrix ver & auml;ndern sich in Abh & auml;ngigkeit der Temperatur der isothermischen Umwandlung. Die Graphitkugeln zeigten eine sehr gute Verteilung in der Matrix des mischkristallverfestigten ferritischen Gusseisen mit Kugelgraphit und einem hohen Anteil an einlegiertem Silizium (SSFDI, Solution Strengthened High Silicon Ferritic Ductile Cast Iron). Die Umwandlung des nadelf & ouml;rmigen Ferrits weist deutliche Merkmale des Bainits auf. Die Verschlei ss geschwindigkeit nahm mit steigender Temperatur der isothermischen Umwandlung zu.
